Tourist Visas for China
Visa information can be very difficult to find and is always changing for China, Including the costs! The fees have almost doubled depending on your residing country and Visa’s can take a few weeks for processing. Our advice is to get to your nearest embassy, or send your application as soon as you have an idea of your travel plans. It is possible to organise a Visa from Hong Kong or Macau as per below however you may need to spend close to a week to ensure you have time to get this.
Visa queues at all Chinese embassy’s start early, and you can wait for hours. I would recommend this option if an embassy is close to you, alternatively sending is also fine. Allow 2 months where possible prior to departure.
Nationalities that cannot apply for visas in Hong Kong or Macau

As long as your country is not on the following list, you are still eligible to apply fro a China visa in Hong Kong or Macau. If you are on this list, you have to go back to your home country to apply for a visa: Afghanistan, Tunisia, Algeria, Bangladesh ,Congo, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq,  Mali, Libya, South Africa, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan,  Malaysia, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Turkey, Mauritania, Saudi Arab, Sierra Leone, Syria.
