Children aged between two and 11 years of age pay 75% of the accompanying adult's fare, plus taxes and surcharges. It is best to always check with the airline as some low cost airlines including Jetstar do not have any price differentiation.
Preflight/Boarding
Most airlines do go out of their way to assist young family's. Some really great budget airlines have popped up such as AirAsia and Jetstar who offer very good pre/post boarding assistance procedures.
I have also witnessed many other great airlines such as Air Zealand, Virgin series and of course Emirates who often good options and entertainment for your small passengers.
All airlines these days will offer you to board the flight with child in tow, first. Thus making things a little more convenient for you. If you have a very young one, most airlines will have available cots built into the wall so you can lay them down, and eat!
Check with the airline, but most of the websites will have this information and allow you to request your requirements.
Guess it depends on the routing options and companies that fly but there definitely would be some that I would not take my daughter on.
Speak with your doctor before going on any long haul trips and seek his advice on injections or medication’s you may need.
